Fun at the Temple open house!

Lagoon

On Tuesday the 30th we went on a family reunion to Lagoon. We left our house at about 8:45 am to drive to Lagoon. Before we went to the freeway we went to the gas station to get some treats and some drinks that we could have on the way.... And of course some gas. So when we got there we all went in the store. Some of the kids were the last ones to get in the store and one of them locked the car and left the keys inside..... Oh no! When my parents and the kids came out we tried to get in the car but it was locked! One of the kids had not known that they had left the keys in the car. So my mom had to call one of our neighbors to go to our house and get a extra pair of keys so we could get in our car.Then my mom had to call my grandpa and tell him just to go on without us. It was a close gas station so that was good. When they got there to give us the keys my mom and dad were so happy and we could go on with the ride. So we all got in the car and my dad drove there. When we got there we got the tickets and got a parking space. We told all of the cousins that we were going to have a meeting place and that was right when we walked in so it would be easy to find. When every one was there our first ride was the Terror ride. I think the little kids were freaked out bye it and said they wouldn't go on it again. Then we all split apart and the bigger kids like me and my cousins went one the bigger kid rides and the little kids went with my mom and more people. Then later on we had to eat lunch and i had rice and chicken it was really good! Then we went on more rides and we were all looking forward to going on rattlesnake rapids so we headed that way. When we got there it only took ten minutes to get on. I was in a boat with my Mom my Dad and Isabelle. When we got to the water fall Isabelle wanted to get wet so she went under the big waterfall on purpose and she got drenched. When we got off my grandpa wanted to have a hug from everyone so when that was over he was a little wet too. After that we went to go and get some dippin' dots. My grandpa paid for everyone and it ended up to be about 70 dollars. the flavor i got was banana split because they only had about three flavors. Then after that we all wanted to go on those swings in the sky and i went with my cousin Maren. That was really fun then we went on some more rides until it was finally dinner time. I ate some chicken strips and ranch it was really good. Then After a couple more rides we got tried so we went to the store at lagoon to pick out a treasure. My dad said if we don't was a treasure then he would give us twenty dollars. But i really wanted something and i found a really cute pair of shoes so i got those. Then we decided that was going to be the end of the day. We left at about 8:30 p.m. That was the best family reunion ever!

Last day of school

On the 29th of May it was the last day of school! We all came as an early bird but Max had to go at 8:45 but we just had too show up at 7:45. Madeline was going to help her teacher and stay after school so she could pick up Max and walk home with him. I just had to walk home with Isabelle at the right time early birds come home. The day went by very fast because it was only two hours. When i got to school we got to sign autographs I got all of the fourth grade teachers. After we signed all of the autographs then we played a game where someone is in the middle and you pass something around and the teacher has to name something like three kinds of flowers then they have to name them before it gets back around to the starting person.
It was really fun. Then after we did autographs and the game it was almost time to go home but we still had one more thing to do. Hand out report cards and get a gift. She all gave us an Award, Report card, Skittles, Play dough, and last of all a slide show on a disk. Then we all said goodbye to each other and when the bell rang for the morning kids the High School Musical song "What Time Is It" went off and the morning kids went home. On that very same day it was the home show I got to work at it for two hours and then i got to go swimming at the A.F. pool that was really fun then i went back to my grandma's house. That was the best last day of school ever! -Amelia

Tim & Lucia's Wedding

On Saturday May 9, 2009 My Uncle Tim was married to Lucia Medina. At about 9 a.m. in the morning, we went to the Bountiful Temple, where they were getting married. All of the cousins sat in the waiting room for them to return It took a while and all of us were so board. Once they came out of the temple we all took family photos, and ones with Lucia and Tim and a couple just with our family. Then we headed down to the Lion House for a lunch in. We had many musical numbers and speakers while we ate it was very enjoyable.The Bride and Groom took a while to get there so we just talked until they got there. Then we went down to the Reception center, which was in a big reception center but it was just like a house.When we got there we had to get dressed in different clothes because my mom thought that we would get to dirty so we changed and touched up our hair and the went downstairs to go and see the backyard It had a little pond,benches, and many more. I walked through the hall and you got to sign a cute picture. Once everyone had greeted each other and shown up, at about 7:45, we all dropped what we were doing and we danced with the DJ on and started to the "vals." If you were a girl you would dance with the groom and if you were a boy you would dance with the bride But someone had to go with the bride so i did. When we were done dancing with them they turned on more of Latino and Salsa music My favorite was the mocarina(sorry don't no how to spell that) . Max started to do some really weird dancing in front of everyone they were all laughing,Then we went to the next room where we all danced until 10:00. When we were all done dancing we all watched Lucia and Tim cut the cake. Then next she threw the bouquet. No, I did not get it. That was the best Saturday ever.
